St Benedicts School Management Tour

The MANCOSA School of Education’s iTEACHlab hosted the St Benedicts School Management Team for a tour of the iTEACHlab. This exciting tour took place on Wednesday, 16 February 2022. The team began the tour with the use of the MANCOSA iTEACHlab app. In the Makerspace, the team were taken through a demonstration of 3D printing technology and the world of design thinking and creativity. Discussions on Computational Thinking processes and coding a robot were among the highlights in the Robotics and Coding Hub.

In the Maths Hub, the team were excited to view a demonstration of the use of the Clevertouch technology as well as incorporating concepts such as gamification in the Maths classroom. In the Culture Hub, an enlightening discussion on various Cultures took place. The team were also exposed to how augmented reality can be integrated to understand various concepts in culture through on the MANCOSA iTEACHlab app. The team were thrilled to explore the world of Virtual Reality in the Science Hub with the use of Virtual reality applications and headsets. Thereafter, the team were served refreshments and gifts and had engaging discussions of school leadership management in the Leadership Hub.
