MANCOSA hosted its 4th Annual Golf Day on 5 September 2017 at the Durban Country Club (DCC), which is amongst the Top 100 courses in the world.

On Friday 6thOctober 2017, the MANCOSA Centre for Women Leadership hosted and facilitated a Leadership and Skills Development Workshop for female members of the Impumelelo Disabled organisation at the Mancosa [GSB]. The workshop was attended by thirty – two women from the organisation.

MANCOSA’s Alumni Association recently revised its vision to embody the key values of Honoris United Universities – Collaborative Intelligence, Agility and Mobility. Honoris United Universities is the first pan-African private higher education network committed to preparing and educating the next generation of African leaders and professionals able to impact regionally in a globalised world.

Many South African children are already at a disadvantage due to illiteracy. The issue is exacerbated in rural communities, where resources are scarce. It is within this context that the Department launched the “read to lead” campaign, aimed at combating illiteracy, which it believes is a contributing factor to the country’s high unemployment rate.

MANCOSA hosted the 4th Annual Dr Chota Motala Memorial Lecture in Durban on 17 November 2017.
The annual memorial lecture is held to commemorate the life and contributions of the late Dr Motala and to celebrate his courage and leadership as a political activist.

On Sunday, 15th October 2017, The Muslim Women’s Network in Port Elizabeth, hosted a successful cancer awareness function themed and titled, “Together We Can”.

On 7th December 2017, the Management College of Southern Africa (MANCOSA) and REGENT Business School jointly hosted a one day National Research Conference on Business, Management and Sustainable Development. The focus was on emerging opportunities and challenges.

Providing youth with the opportunity and resources to read is perhaps as important as inculcating the importance of reading. In 2017, MANCOSA partnered with the Department of Basic Education and New Africa Education Foundation on the current “Read-to-Lead” campaign which was launched four years ago.

MANCOSA hosted its 36th graduation ceremony at the Albert Luthuli International Convention Centre in Durban on Saturday, 7th April 2018. More than 5000 students, staff and guests attended the ceremony. Graduation day is a special day in the life of every student, and this event was no different.

It was a joyous occasion at MANCOSA’s Graduate School of Business on Friday, 04 May 2018, as the institution honoured its faculty for their remarkable research achievements during the 2016-2017 research cycle.

The seminar focussed on HE and scholarly publishing as sites of contestation and the need for boundary crossing as intersecting threads in the quest at MANCOSA to advance what Dr Israel referred to as [NEW]search.

On Monday, July 16th 2018, MANCOSA launched its new flagship offering, the Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) degree at its Graduate School of Business [GSB], in Durban. The principal and founder of MANCOSA, Professor Yusuf Karodia, welcomed guests and potential students in his opening address and expressed his delight at the achievement of this milestone.
