MANCOSA hosted its 4th Annual Golf Day on 5 September 2017 at the Durban Country Club (DCC), which is amongst the Top 100 courses in the world. The immensely popular event attracted several of MANCOSA’s stakeholders, including the Cell C Sharks. A total of 17 teams participated on the day. As is tradition, the competition took the form of a four ball 2 score alliance, as the teams teed off from the 1st or 10th tee, with the Nearest to Pin and Longest Drive challenge. Eighteen holes later, players headed back to the clubhouse for some much needed refreshments before moving into the DCC’s dining room for a sumptuous meal. An exciting prize giving session was hosted by Mr Althaf Suleman, whilst players and spectators enjoyed their food.

The Nearest to Pin winners were Mr Suresh Ramdial and Mr Someshen Naidoo, while the Longest Drive went to Mr Graham Agar. The Longest Day went to Team ABSA, and the runner up teams were Howick High School and KPD Power. First place in the competition went to Team SAMCOM, who won the competition on 103 alliances.

Mr Hashim Bobat, Associate Director at MANCOSA, concluded the prize-giving session by thanking all participants for their contribution to a successful day.
