MANCOSA’s Quality Conference (#MQC2023) aims to engage, share and discover valuable insights into different perspectives and approaches for Institutionalising Quality Management.
In light of the Council of Higher Education’s (CHE) recent shift towards South African Higher Education Institutions (HEI) assuming greater responsibility and accountability for adhering to quality standards, the theme of this Conference is Shifting Perspectives on Quality Management.
HEIs must evolve and adapt to provide the high-quality and future-fit education that the industry demands. MANCOSA’s Quality Conference expects to evaluate where HEIs are in the pursuit of strengthening quality management systems – and reshape current ideas and practices to ensure that we can remain relevant despite the increasingly fast pace of technological and societal change.
This is an opportunity to advocate and reposition the importance of quality management in light of the new framework, share best practices and discuss pertinent evolving topics across the higher education quality landscape.
We invite discussion of current strategies being utilised for the management of quality in an online environment and look at how these methodologies can be enhanced or adapted for the development of robust systems and tools for quality management.
MANCOSA’s Quality Conference will provide a space for extensive consultation, collaborative conversation and consensus building amongst key relevant stakeholders. Together, we can establish quality assurance mechanisms and build a roadmap supportive of the evolution of higher education, especially within the digital online context.
