iTEACHlab Learner Activities – Al-Azhar School

On March 13th, 2023, 34 grade 7 learners from the Al-Azhar School in Durban attended the iTEACHlab Learner Activities session, which featured various STEAM activities across multiple hubs in the iTEACHlab. The Makerspace Hub involved a Lego Design-Thinking Challenge to develop personal attributes. In the Robotics Hub, learners coded and moved robots in different directions.

The Maths Hub used educational games to improve memory and critical and creative thinking. The Science Hub had a team-building challenge with a ball and string. Finally, the Amphitheatre Hub exposed learners to Virtual Reality applications to advance 21st-century teaching methodologies.
