Admissions Criteria:
The Postgraduate Diploma in Artificial Intelligence qualification is a cognate programme. Applicants will need to provide a cognate NQF 7 qualification at the Bachelor’s level. Applicants may also provide a cognate National Diploma with a cognate Bachelor of Technology or an Advanced Diploma.
Selection Criteria:
A minimum average of 60% is required at NQF Level 7 modules on the qualification.
If an Applicant has completed the MANCOSA Bachelor of Commerce in Information and Technology Management programme, the following selection criterion is applicable:
60% of the year 3 NQF Level 7 modules equates to 72 credits.
The programme has 5 related NQF Level 7 modules, which equates to 75 credits: Information Technology Services Management (Previously known as Information Technology Management 3A)
Information Technology Law and Ethics (Previously known as Information Technology Management 3B)
Principles of Software Engineering (Previously known as Informatics 3A)
Software Engineering Practice (Previously known as Informatics 3B)

Therefore, at least 5 of the MANCOSA NQF Level 7 modules need to be completed for the student to be admitted onto the Postgraduate Diploma in Artificial Intelligence programme. However, the applicant would be required to complete the underpinning qualification regardless to articulate into an NQF Level 8 programme.
RPL:
Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) access: applicants without formal academic qualifications and non-South African school leaving qualifications may be considered for acceptance to the Postgraduate Diploma in Artificial Intelligence. MANCOSA’s RPL policy is applied to students where the above circumstances prevail. The Recognition of Prior Learning policy provides for a formal assessment of formal, informal and non-formal learning and experience of prospective students.
